After Hours Drop Box
IFSO has an after hours drop box next to our front door entrance at 214 University Center. The after hours drop box should only be used at the direction of an IFSO Staff member. This will ensure that items placed in the after hours drop box are picked up in a timely manner.
The after hours drop box (black box) is located on the left side of the front door to enter IFSO's office at 214 University Center.

Parking
For Faculty & Scholars without a UC San Diego parking pass, daily or hourly parking is available for purchase at pay station permits or meters.
Please note that there are different parking options: A (Faculty), B (Staff/Grad Students) and V (Visitor).
There are a few locations on campus with 20 minute loading zones which allow for quick 20 mins visits without having to pay for parking. If you will be parking in a 20 minute loading zone please make sure it is clearly noted as "20 minute loading." The following locations have 20 minute loading parking spots available:

There are currently many construction projects occurring at UC San Diego, many parking lots are closed or being repurposed as outdoor classrooms. Our friends at the Student Abroad office, share the Dance Hall at 409 University Center for IFSO to use for programs and events. If you have been invited to an IFSO event at the Dance Hall, instructions for how to find the building are listed below.

UC San Diego Shuttles
Faculty and scholars can ride free UC San Diego shuttles that serve campus , medical centers and limited areas of the surrounding community.
- Due to COVID-19, to board UC San Diego shuttles you are required to complete the daily screening and obtain a green thumb up. The shuttle driver will ask for the green thumb up confirmation to allow you to board the UC San Diego shuttle.

In the Event of an Emergency (Medical, Crime, or Fire)
Call 911. You can dial 911 from any phone. 911 is the nationwide emergency number. Be ready to report details, beginning with the nature of the emergency and the exact location (address).
In the event of a campus emergency, emergency.ucsd.edu will be updated with details and instructions.
The UC San Diego Police Department can be reached at (858) 534-HELP (4357). The UC San Diego Police department can also be contacted in case of immigration-related emergencies when the International Faculty & Scholars Office is closed.
